Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--Hunan Thermal Power Construction Company (HTPC) (Changsha, Hunan), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) (Beijing), completed the generator stator erection for Unit 2 of State Development and Investment Corporation's (SDIC) (Beijing) Panbei Gangue Power Plant on February 2, 2013, according to an announcement from the HTPC on February 4, 2013.
As the heaviest single piece of equipment in the plant, the generator stator has a total lifting weight of 183 metric tons. The erection of the stator means that the installation of the unit has reached an important milestone.
The Panbei Gangue Power Plant is located at Banpo Village, Saji Town, Panxian County in Liupanshui City in Southwest China's Guizhou province. SDIC Panjiang Power Generation Company Limited (Liupanshui, Guizhou), a joint venture of SDIC Huajing Power Holdings Company Limited (SHA:600886) (Beijing), the listed flagship of the SDIC, and Guizhou Panjiang Refined Coal Company Limited (SHA:600395) (Liupanshui, Guizhou) is responsible for the development and future operations of the project.
According to plans, the power plant will be furnished with two 300-megawatt (MW) steam generating units, together with two coal gangue-fired circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers in the initial stage. The internal water-cooling generating unit will be designed and manufactured by Shanghai Electric Corporation (Shanghai). Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute (Guangzhou, Guangdong) is responsible for the design and engineering of the project. Guizhou Electric Power Construction No.1 Engineering Company (Guiyang, Guizhou) and Hunan Thermal Power Construction Company (Changsha, Hunan) is responsible for the construction and erection of Unit 1 and Unit 2 of the project, respectively.
Construction of the project kicked off in April 2011. The waster pressure test for Unit 1 was completed on August 25, 2012. According to the schedule, both units of the project will begin operations by the end of 2013.
