Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Lithium-ion batteries offer high storage capacity, better efficiency and longer lifecycles that other batteries. In rechargeable batteries, lithium moves from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge and back when charging, using an intercalated lithium compound as one electrode material, compared with the metallic lithium used in a non-rechargeable lithium battery.
