Monaco Coach Rolls into Expansion of Mishawaka Plant

Monaco Coach Corporation (Coburg, Oregon) (NYSE:MNC) began moving dirt in November for the third expansion project this year at its Mishawaka, Indiana travel trailer manufacturing plant. All bids are out, as of last Friday.

Estimated cost of the 150,000 square foot addition is $4.25 million. Monaco Coach expects production capacity to double with the addition, and plans to add 100 jobs within the next three years. General contractor for the project is JA Wagner Construction, Incorporated (Elkhart, Indiana). Project completion is scheduled for June 2003.

Monaco Coach's other manufacturing facilities are located in Bend, Oregon, and Wakarusa, Indiana. The company manufactures luxury motorhomes and towable recreational vehicles under the Monaco, Holiday Rambler, Safari Beaver, and McKenzie brand names.
