Schefenacker Vision Systems Pushes Forward with Expansion

To that end, Schefenacker recently began construction of a major expansion of their Marysville, Michigan manufacturing operation.

Currently, a 33,000 square foot warehouse is under construction at 150 Gratiot Boulevard, near their existing Busha Highway facility. In addition, they have placed orders for $12 million worth of manufacturing equipment to be installed at the Busha Highway plant.

The warehouse should be completed near the end of 2002 and the current plans call for the installation of the new equipment to begin in November or December 2002. Once the warehouse and manufacturing expansion are completed, an additional 75-100 jobs will be created, a significant boost to the local economy.
