Industrial Info is tracking five active and one on-hold projects in South Korea's Pharmaceutical-Biotech Industry for the development of COVID-19 masks.

In the first half of last year, there was a boom in the expansion of mask factories in South Korea to cope with COVID-19. However, as export regulations were lifted and Chinese production overflowed, many smaller Korean mask producers had trouble handling the volume. As a result, many have cancelled new projects and are reselling their facilities. There are no current plans for entirely new facilities.
