With more advanced technology in luxury furniture manufacturing, experts predict a 4% growth rate each year between now and 2019, according to California Manufacturing Technology Consultant (CMTC). La-Z-Boy Incorporated's (NYSE:LZB) (Monroe, Michigan) $26 million upholstered chair manufacturing plant expansion in Dayton, Tennessee, involves constructing a 70,000-square-foot building; renovating the existing, 1.2 million-square-foot facility; and performing structural improvements for parking. Also in Tennessee, 9 to 5 Seating's (Hawthorne, California) $60 million ergonomic office seating manufacturing plant expansion in Union City involves constructing a 200,000-square-foot addition to the existing 100,000-square-foot facility.
