Webb Wheel Plant Planned for Southern Indiana

Webb Wheel Products Incorporated (Cullman, Alabama), a Marmon Highway Technologies Company, plans to start construction on a $22.5 million manufacturing plant located at 9800 Block State Highway 66 in Tell City, Perry County, Indiana.(Plant 1063266).

Construction on the 100,000 square foot plant is expected to start in July 2004 with completion slated for January 2005. Site preparation is currently underway. The new plant will manufacture wheel and drum components for the heavy truck industry. All construction bids have been contracted out to local contractors. Webb Wheel will bring in computerized equipment from Germany and Italy to install in the new plant.

Nearen Construction Company of Cullman, Alabama was awarded the general contracting contract for the new plant.
