Aker Postpones Plan Submission for Pecan Field Offshore Ghana

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Aker Energy (Fornebu, Norway) has once again failed to submit the plan of development (POD) for the Pecan field offshore Ghana, but this time due to the involvement of Russian oil and gas company Lukoil (Moscow).

Aker Energy has opted not to submit the POD until issues concerning the war in Ukraine and Lukoil's 38% interest in the license are resolved. The Minister of Energy has extended the POD delivery date to September 30.

The Pecan oil field is an ultra-deep-water field in the Gulf of Guinea--owned by Aker Energy (50%, operator), Lukoil (38%), Fueltrade (2%) and Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (10%).
