Automotive supplier, Magna-Tech Manufacturing (Muncie, Indiana) has recently purchased a 61,000 square foot spec building offered by the Talledega County Economic Development Authority and the Sylacauga Industrial Development Board in Sylacauga, Alabama, and is presently in the process of finishing the building out for its production needs.
General contractor for the project is AG Gaston Construction (Sylacauga, Alabama). Magna-Tech plans to begin production in February of this year.

The new plant will serve Teksid's Aluminum Components plant in Sylacauga that makes engine blocks and cylinder heads for the Saturn assembly plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Teksid Aluminum Components (Sylacauga, Alabama) is a division of Teksid Incorporated (Plymouth, Michigan). Teksid has two plants in Sylacauga, which are totally dedicated to the production of aluminum cylinder heads and cylinder blocks for the North American automotive market.
Saturn (Troy, Michigan), a producer of small and mid-size cars, is a subsidiary of General Motors Corporation (NYSE:GM)(Troy, Michigan).
