Arizona Public Service Company Slated to Start Construction on $50 Million Expansion in Yuma

Construction is set to begin during the middle of this month, and the station is scheduled for full commercial start-up by the summer of 2008. The project will consist of installing two 48 MW GE Power Systems LM6000PC SPRINT combustion turbines to the existing facility. The project will also feature state-of-the art emission control technology, such as selective catalytic reduction for NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions.
