Automotive Supplier Expands Again in Kentucky

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Automotive components manufacturer American Howa Kentucky Incorporated (Bowling Green, Kentucky), is expanding its facility in Bowling Green for a second time in less than two years.

Site preparation began in September 2008 for a 56,000-square-foot addition to the existing 81,294-square-foot facility that was constructed in November 2007. The new construction will include the addition of three new manufacturing lines that will enable the plant to increase manufacturing of headliners, dash insulators and sunshade trim interior parts. Overall project completion is anticipated for the early summer 2009. Approximately 24 new jobs will be created, adding to the existing 30 that are currently employed.

Gray Construction Company (Bowling Green) was selected to provide general construction services for the expansion.

The company manufactures interior auto parts such as door panels, dash insulators, headliners and shade trims.
