The company purchased 18-acres of land in the Seaway Business Center just southwest of Everett and plans to construct a 220,000 square foot building with processing and packaging equipment, to which the company will relocate existing operations in order to increase foodservice soup and sauce production by 50%.

Demand for StockPot soups has increased dramatically since the business moved into a new facility in Woodinville in 2000. The company has gained dominance in the fresh-refrigerated soups market and needs additional research, development and manufacturing capabilities to keep up with growth.

Leading food plant constructors The Dennis Group L.L.C. (Springfield, Massachusetts) has been selected as the design-build for this estimated $80 million project. Once the final permits are obtained, construction is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2005 and should take approximately a year to complete. The site has been designed to allow future expansion.
