Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Coca-Cola Enterprises Incorporated (NYSE:CCE) (Atlanta, Georgia), the largest bottler of Coca-Cola products, has broken ground on a new beverage distribution center in South Brunswick, New Jersey. The company plans to build a state-of-the-art sales and distribution center in the Monmouth Junction section of town.
Plans call for the construction of a 270,000-square-foot, environmentally sustainable building. The South Brunswick facility will replace aging bottling centers in North Brunswick, Neptune and Parsippany, New Jersey.
Foundations for the building will be poured in October, and structural erection is scheduled to commence in November. Coca-Cola anticipates having the South Brunswick facility in full operation next July.
Forsgate Industrial Partners (Teterboro, New Jersey) was awarded the design-build contract for the facility's development.
Coca-Cola recently received regulatory clearance for the acquisition of Coca-Cola Enterprises' North American business. The completion of the acquisition remains subject to the receipt of approval by CCE shareowners, who are scheduled to vote on the issue on October 1, 2010.
