ConAgra Cancels $75 Million Center for Fort Worth, Texas
The $75 million project included the construction of a 550,000-square-foot building on a 27-acre site to consolidate production and warehouse into a central location.

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--ConAgra Grocery Products Company (Naperville, Illinois), a division of ConAgra Foods Incorporated (NYSE:CAG) (Omaha, Nebraska) has decided to cancel a major expansion project in Fort Worth, Texas, that was supposed to create as much as 400 new jobs within the first five years.
Company officials did not give details about the projects cancellation. Last fall, the company announced that it will close five manufacturing plants and as many as 12 plants by 2009, as part of a plan to achieve long-term profitable growth. The new facility was expected to receive production from some plants affected from these closures. As of today, Industrial Infos database is tracking 69 operational ConAgra Foods plants in the U.S. and Canada.
