Williams Places Hillabee Expansion Project into Service - Williams Partners L.P. (NYSE: WPZ) announced Tuesday that it has successfully placed into service the first phase of its Hillabee expansion project, expanding the capacity of its Transco pipeline system in Alabama by 818,410 dekatherms per day to supply Florida power generators via the new Sabal Trail pipeline. (Street Insider)
NATURAL GAS
Iran Expects to See Increase in Gas Production, Exports - Amir Hossein Zamaninia, Iran's deputy oil minister for trade and international affairs, said Iran's gas production would rise to 1 billion cubic meters a day by the end of the year from the current 800 million cubic meters (mcm) per day. He said volumes available for export should reach 365 mcm a day by 2021, which is higher than the exports of the world's top liquefied natural gas producer Qatar. (Reuters)

IEA: Electricity Investment Surpassed Oil & Gas in 2016 - Investments in electricity surpassed those in oil and gas for the first time ever in 2016 on a spending splurge on renewable energy and power grids as the fall in crude prices led to deep cuts, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said on Tuesday. (Reuters)

Saudi Arabia Exceeds OPEC Production Cap - Saudi Arabia told OPEC it pumped 10.07 million barrels a day in June, a person with knowledge of the data told Bloomberg, exceeding its production limit for the first time since brokering a deal to curb global crude supply to counter a glut. The world's biggest oil exporter boosted output from 9.88 million barrels a day in May, surpassing the limit of 10.058 million it accepted in an agreement between OPEC and other major suppliers including Russia.
