Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The 100-megawatt (MW) Arbuckle Mountain Windfarm, which is located in Murray and Carter counties, Oklahoma, began commercial operations this month following its completion by EDP Renewables North America (Houston, Texas).
The new 100-megawatt windfarm is utilizing 50 Vestas wind turbines, and will sell the energy under a 20-year power purchase agreement with Lincoln Electric System (LES). The energy will be enough to power over 22,000 homes each year.
Construction of the windfarm was completed by Burns & McDonnell(Kansas City, Missouri). EDP Renewables owns and operates the windfarm. Construction started in March 2015 and was mechanically completed in late Fall 2015.
