ExxonMobil is Texas' Top Driller - Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) (ExxonMobil) has become the top driller in Texas. So far this year, ExxonMobil has filed for 500 drilling permits, compared to the 332 drilling permits EOG Resources (NYSE:EOG), the second most active driller. More than 430 of ExxonMobil's permits are for projects in the Permian Basin. (Houston Chronicle)

Woodfibre to Proceed with British Columbia LNG Project - Woodfibre LNG is poised to become the second liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project to break ground on Canada's West Coast. Woodfibre is finalizing its engineering, procurement and construction contract, which company president David Keane expects to sign "at the end of the summer or shortly thereafter" before construction begins on the LNG export facility in Squamish, British Columbia.
