Ground Work Under Way at New Beer and Beverage Warehouse in the Carolinas

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Carolina Beer & Beverage LLC (Mooresville, North Carolina), a leading contract beverage manufacturer, has started site preparation for a new warehouse facility in Mooresville. The new $11 million facility will be located next to the company's main plant and will consist of a 300,000-square-foot building with dry and refrigerated areas. The facility will allow the company to consolidate five warehouse and distribution centers into one. Carolina Beer anticipates that the warehouse will be ready for occupancy in fall 2009.

In addition to the warehouse expansion, Carolina Beer is in the middle of a $6.5 million expansion that will add 72,000 square feet and new equipment at the brewery, which is slated for completion March 2009. Manufacturing operations include the latest in high-speed can filling, batching, tunnel pasteurization and laboratory technology and has the capacity of 35 million cases annually.
