Dow Chemical continues a turnaround of its 2,686 million-pound-per-year LHC-1 Ethylene Unit in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The unit was shut down on August 3 and is on schedule to restart September 30.

Bayport Polymers' new 2,205 million-pound-per-year Ethane Cracker in Port Arthur, Texas, is circulating feed to achieve on-spec product for the initial startup and ramping up of production. The unit is expected to be operational in October.

Chevron Phillips Chemical, on September 17, restarted its 1,470 million-pound-per-year Ethylene 24 Unit in Sweeny (Old Ocean), Texas. The unit was forced to shut down on September 14 after Hurricane Nicholas caused a loss of feed.

Saudi Polymers Company remains on schedule to perform a 30-day maintenance turnaround of the 2,568 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Jubail Complex in Saudi Arabia, beginning October 23. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by November 21.

Kazanorgsintez PJSC continues with a planned turnaround of the 158 million-pound-per-year Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Unit II, which began September 14, at its Kazan Chemical Complex in Russia. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by October 4.
