Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Automotive supplier Draexlmaier Automotive of North America LLC (Duncan, South Carolina), a subsidiary of Dräxlmaier Group (Vilsbiburg Germany), is currently planning a $10 million expansion of the company's premium interior and plastic components manufacturing plant in Duncan, South Carolina.

Plans are to expand the existing plant, which was constructed in 1998, by constructing a 64,500-square-foot building addition and installing supporting equipment. The expansion is expected to create 100 jobs.

The expansion will increase the plant's capacity by more than 33% and will house state-of-the-art equipment for the assembly of vehicle interiors and components, including instrument panels, center consoles and door panels. A general contractor is expected to be selected by the end of this month.
