Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) is pleased to be presenting a complimentary webinar on the spending outlook for the Industrial Manufacturing Industry. The webinar will be Thursday, April 4, at 9 a.m. CDT (10 a.m. EDT). Industrial Info's industry experts will discuss the current spending trends across Industrial Manufacturing in North America. Industrial Info is tracking more $380 billion in active Industrial Manufacturing projects in the U.S. and Canada, including $179 billion worth that are set to begin in 2019 and 2020.
The U.S. economy continues to show higher levels of domestic growth against a backdrop of increasing uncertainty in global trade relationships, and our industry experts will review how these trends have impacted industrial spending in key sectors across the U.S. and Canada.
In addition to transportation, among the highest-spending sectors are the automotive and the warehousing and distribution sectors.
Among the automotive projects planned to kick off in the U.S. this year is Nissan North America Incorporated's (Smyrna, Tennessee) equipment addition at its plant in Smyrna, which produces 640,000 automobiles a year. The project includes installing a laser brazing welding system, polyurethane stone guard paint line, and tooling and calibration equipment plus systems to support production of the 2020 Altima sedan. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report.
Among the distribution centers set to kick off construction in the near future is Amazon.com Incorporated's (NYSE:AMZN) (Seattle, Washington) facility in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The four-story building will contain approximately 2.6 million square feet and 65 loading docks. Construction is set to begin in the second quarter. Eberly & Associates Incorporated (Atlanta, Georgia) is the engineer on the project, which has an estimated total investment value of $200 million. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report.
Data centers also feature prominently in Industrial Info's Industrial Manufacturing project coverage. CyrusOne LLC is underway with a Phase II expansion of its data center in Allen, Texas. The project includes adding a 619,000-square-foot building that will include four data halls and office space. Construction on the $380 million project is expected to be completed by the end of the year. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report.
The webinar will discuss industry trends and include:
- Identification of the midterm spending outlook across the major Industrial Manufacturing sectors
- Identification of sectors showing grassroot and expansion capital spending growth
- A review of the current state of U.S. trade agreements
- Assessment of the impact of U.S. tax stimulus programs on capital investment
