Motor Oil Hellas to Finish Corinth First-Quarter Turnarounds Soon

The company is the second-largest refiner in Greece after Hellenic Petroleum SA (ATH:ELPE) (Athens). MOH's Corinth refinery, located less than 50 kilometers west of Athens, began operations in 1972 and now has a throughput capacity of 170,000 barrels per day (BBL/d).

MOH finished short turnarounds on several units last week as part of an 11-day program. The 110,000-BBL/d Topping Unit, the 60,000-BBL/d Crude 2 Unit, the 37,000-BBL/d Mild Hydrocracker and the hydrogen units were all fully operational as of February 8.

Other units, including the 30,000-BBL/d fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) and the 11,000-BBL/d reformer unit, are undergoing longer turnarounds as part of a 25-day program. These units are expected to restart by February 22 and resume normal operations shortly thereafter.
