Pro-Corn LLC Nears Completion of Ethanol Expansion in Minnesota

Pro-Corn LLC (Preston, Minn.), a farmer-owned cooperative, began an expansion of their ethanol plant in June 2001 and chose Broin & Associates (Sioux Falls, S.D.) to provide engineering, procurement, and construction services for the expansion of the plant.
Pro-Corn is currently investing an estimated $10 million dollars to increase capacity of the existing plant built in 1998 from 22 million gallons per year to 50 million gallons per year of ethanol using corn as a feedstock. Construction at the plant, which currently employs 30 people, is expected to be complete in March of 2002.
