Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Uzbekistan's development strategy for 2022-26 includes the addition of up to 8,000 megawatts (MW) of solar and wind-generated energy, as well as up to 2,920 MW of hydropower.
Uzbekistan believes the plan will elevate renewables to 25% of its power output, saving about 3 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually. The gas saved could be used to generate another 15 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh). Uzbekistan aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions per unit of GDP by 35% by 2030.
