Schwenk Zement to Purchase Cemex Assets in Baltics and Nordic Countries, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Schwenk Zement has entered into an agreement with Cemex to purchase its cement assets in the Baltic and Nordic countries.

Schwenk Zement has entered into an agreement with Cemex to purchase its cement assets in the Baltic and Nordic countries. The deal is expected to be worth 340 million euros ($386 million). The Baltic assets consist of the Broceni cement plant in Latvia, aggregates and cement quarries, ready-mix plants, and a marine and land distribution terminal in Latvia. The Nordic assets include import terminals in Finland, Norway and Sweden. According to Cemex, the proceeds from this transaction will be mainly used for debt reduction. Industrial Info is tracking $10 million in Schwenk projects and $114 million in Cemex projects.
