•TJ-4: No. 12 bureau of CRCC for $2.34 billion
•TJ-5: No. 3 bureau of CRG for $1.56 billion
•TJ-6: China Communication Construction Company Limited (Beijing) for $1.89 billion

The companies were chosen as the winners from a list of 15 bidders because of their comprehensive technical strength, among other things. The project's construction is expected to start before the Chinese Spring Festival, which will be held on February 7, 2008. The total investment in the Beijing-Shanghai Express Railway is estimated to be as high as $30 billion.
