Tablemac Installs New Particleboard Production Line in Colombia

The aim of the project is to reach the total capacity for melamine lamination production. The supplier of this line is Wemhöner (Herford, North Rhine-Westfalia, Germany), which will produce 110,000 cubic-meter-per-year, low-pressure laminating units. In-house engineering will be performed and biddings for installation subcontractors and consumables will start at the beginning of next year. The estimated date of completion is in the third quarter of 2013.
The medium-density particleboard mill is situated in the Colombian city of Barbosa, in the state of Antioquia. It started its operations at the beginning of 2012, and it directly employs about 100 people. The mill currently manufactures 140,000 cubic meters of medium-density particleboard per year.
Tablemac is a Colombian company dedicated to the production and commercialization of particle boards (with and without covering paper, blackboard, etc.) along with doors, wood parts, modular furniture and formwork for concrete structure.
Wemhöner is an international company located in Germany linked with the wood-based panel industry and the furniture industry, as well as the development and production of lines for the photovoltaic and automotive industries.
