Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources Inc.; Houston, Texas). A $570,000 fund has been made available by the US to Kenya to conduct a feasibility study for four new power transmission projects by the Kenya Power and Lighting Company. The new lines will help to stabilize power supply and cope with growing demand. The studies will look at the feasibility of the construction of transmission lines between Kamburu and Meru, Olkaria and Lessos to Kisumu. The Lanet and Naivasha substations will also be upgraded.
