Valero Renewable Fuels to Restart Ohio Ethanol Plant Next Week

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Valero Renewable Fuels (San Antonio, Texas), a wholly owned subsidiary of Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE:VLO) (San Antonio), plans to begin full-scale production and operations of the company's recently acquired Bloomingburg, Ohio, ethanol plant on March 1, 2010. The dry-mill plant will be one of the largest ethanol-producing facilities in the U.S., and will utilize some 40 million bushels of maze to manufacture 110 million gallons of ethanol, and 350,000 tons of dried distiller grains annually.
The factory is on State Road 238 North East in Fayette County, approximately 40 miles southeast of Columbus, Ohio, and has about 40 employees. Valero operates additional plants in Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin, and produces more than 1.1 billion gallons of ethanol annually.
