Entergy Permanently Shuts Down Michigan Nuclear Plant - Entergy Corporation (NYSE:ETR) (New Orleans, Louisiana) said on Friday it has permanently shut a nuclear power station in Michigan despite a Biden administration plan to rescue plants like it because they generate electricity virtually free of carbon emissions. Norway's April Oil Production Lags Forecast - Norway's crude oil output in April missed an official forecast by 10.6%, while its gas output was in line with expectations, preliminary data from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) showed on Friday. Crude oil output fell to 1.66 million barrels per day (BBL/d) in April from 1.74 million BBL/d in March, lagging a forecast of 1.86 million BBL/d, the NPD said. Natural gas production in April averaged 327.1 million cubic meters per day, as expected. (Reuters)
