Italian Cheese Maker BelGioioso Constructing Sixth Plant

The company, acting as their own general contractor, began site work on the new 127,000 square foot building in mid July of this year and the project is expected to take about a year to complete.

The property is located at 5900 County Road NN in Glenmore, near BelGioioso's corporate offices in Denmark and just south of Green Bay.

Once completed in December of 2003, the facility will produce the company's award winning provolone, fresh mozzarella, and mascarpone Italian cheeses.

The project cost is estimated to be in excess of $7 million and once completed, the new cheese plant will employ about 50 people.

BelGioioso has five other plants in Wisconsin in Pulaski, Chase, Langes Corner, Denmark, and Green Bay.

BelGioioso Cheese has been specializing in all natural, award-winning Italian cheeses for over 20 years. Each plant specializes in a specific cheese that is produced daily by the same cheese makers.
