MAPEI Plans to Begin Construction of $40 Million Grassroot Plant in California

The new, approximately 124,622 square foot plant will be located near Interstate 15 on North Industrial Parkway in San Bernardino County. The new building will consist of 109,318 square feet of warehouse and production space for the production of adhesives and grouts, 12,504 square feet of office space, 164 total vehicle parking area, and up to 12 semi- truck loading bays. The structure will include a 115-foot tower that will house storage silos. Completion and startup of the plant are targeted for later this year.

MAPEI, founded in Milan, Italy by Mr. Rodolfo Squinzi in 1937, grew from a small wall-paint producer into a specialist in adhesives and sealants for buildings during the 1950's. Under his leadership, the company developed its first adhesives for ceramic tile in the 1960's and is currently an adhesive and grout manufacturer.
