Plans include a the installation of a 4.6-MW combined-cycle Centaur 40 Solar turbine, along with a 60,000-pounds-per-hour Rentech Heat Recovery Steam Generator that will allow the hospital to produce its own power. The project also will include the installation of seven cooling towers, four condensers and chilled water pumps. A 2,000-ton chiller will be replaced with a 2,800-ton steam-turbine-driven chiller. Site preparation began in February and overall construction is anticipated to be completed by May.
