NAES Corporation℠ (Issaquah, Washington) continues to diversify and grow its energy services business. In addition to operating 38GW of capacity in a broad range of conventional and renewable energy technologies, NAES provides capital and maintenance services at facilities across the U.S., such as annual maintenance, nuclear fuel storage, chimney inspection and repair, boiler/heat recovery steam generator services, and emissions control installations.
Outside of its construction and maintenance expertise, and building on its 27-year history of plant operations, NAES has delivered more than 2,500 customized technical service projects around the globe to help improve plant operations. These wide-ranging projects include operations assessments, on-going operations oversight, CMMS installations, training programs, procedure development, piping and instrumentation diagrams, performance engineering and testing, root cause analysis, NERC compliance and registration, environment compliance solutions, and ash management.
NAES has made two key acquisitions in 2014 in order to strengthen capabilities and broaden its service offerings. Early in the year, E3 Consulting®, LLC became part of NAES, helping expand the company's engineering consulting capabilities. In July, employees of Portland, Oregon-based ICCT Corporation became part of the NAES team to help expand NERC regulatory compliance and security design and implementation.
Compliance strategies and challenges feature prominently in NAES's upcoming presentations at Power-Gen International, December 9-11 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. NAES will be participating in sessions including MATS and CO2 Compliance Strategies, Improving Plant Performance with Today's Compliance Challenges, and MATS: Acid Gas Strategies and Technologies.
