The Orion Solar Belt currently includes three solar farms and is expected to add battery storage in the future. The combined solar farm installation totals approximately 900 megawatts (MW) interconnecting at the Little Pond 345-kilovolt substation southeast of Temple, Texas. SB Energy will also get credit for using domestically sourced materials, including steel from Midlothian, Texas.

Currently, Texans get nearly 30% of their energy from renewable energy resources. The state has 70 gigawatts of installed solar, wind and energy storage capacity.
