Whirlpool Corporation Completes Construction of Distribution Center in Colorado

Construction began in the spring of 2008 on the 410,000-square-foot building, which is located on a 32-acre site at the Majestic Commerce Center. The project included the installation of 60-cubic-feet-per-minute exhausts and other equipment. Completion of the new center occurred in the fall of 2008. Whirlpool acquired the land for $5.4 million from park owner Majestic Realty Company (City of Industry, California). The new center is part of an expansion that Whirlpool is undergoing to replace seven existing distribution centers nationwide.

Ware Malcomb (Englewood, Colorado) provided architectural and design services for the new center, and Panattoni Development Company (Denver, Colorado) provided general construction services.

Whirlpool manufactures appliances such as air conditioners, dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves and washing machines.
