SUGAR LAND--July 8, 2013--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Crude oil production continues to surge in Texas' Eagle Ford Shale, and it's putting a heavy strain on the area's electric infrastructure. Crude oil production averaged 536,117 barrels per day (BBL/d) for the first four months of 2013, a 39% increase over average daily production of 384,631 BBL/d in 2012, according to data from the Texas Railroad Commission (Austin, Texas).
