World Bank Lends $90 Million to Belarus for Biomass Energy Project

ISTANBUL--April 3, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The World Bank Executive Board approved a $90 million loan to the Republic of Belarus for the Biomass District Heating Project. According to a statement from the World Bank, the project will help to develop efficient use of renewable biomass in heat and electricity generation, thereby lowering operating costs and improving fuel security in 13 towns, enhancing living and working conditions of 79,000 Belarusians.
