Final Turbines In At DanTysk Offshore Windfarm
ALWAY, IRELAND--September 8, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Germany's DanTysk offshore windfarm reached a key milestone this week when the last of 80 turbines were installed at the site, located 70 kilometres (km) west of the island of Sylt in the German North Sea.
Project developers Vattenfall AB (Stockholm, Sweden) and German partner, Stadtwerke Munchen GmBH (SWM) (Munich), which control 51% and 49% of the project respectively, confirmed that all of the 3.6-megawatt (MW) class turbines from Siemens Energy (NYSE:SI) (Munich, Germany) are in place.
