Europe Drives Cleaner Fuels Forward

GALWAY, IRELAND--October 13, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland)--Europe has adopted new regulations to clean up the fuel used in transport, but has reversed its plans for labelling so-called "dirty" oil sands crude from Canada as "highly polluting."

After a five-year wait, the Commission plans to implement existing obligations in the 2009 amendment of the Fuel Quality Directive.
