Poland's JSW Slashes 2014 Coal Production Target

GALWAY, IRELAND--October 28, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Polish coal-mining giant JSW has cut its production forecasts for this year by 9-12% in an effort to increase profitability as coal prices continue to fall.

The company recently reported a net loss of more than $100 million for the first half of the year as Poland's coal industry continues to struggle with high operating costs and weak coal prices.
