Germany Upholds Fracking Ban
GALWAY, IRELAND--December 1, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Germany is keeping its unlimited ban on the controversial practice of 'fracking' for shale gas and oil but the government conceded that it may allow it in 'rare' circumstances.
The government is planning to introduce new draft legislation with regards to hydraulic fracturing - fracking - which will maintain the current ban but offers some hope that the practice may be allowed in exceptional circumstances in the future.
