Dominion Completes Virginia Plant On Schedule, More Projects in the Works

SUGAR LAND--December 30, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In early December, Dominion Virginia Power, a subsidiary of Dominion Resources Inc. (NYSE:D) (Richmond, Virginia), completed construction of its Warren County Energy Center in Front Royal, Virginia. The combined-cycle power plant is using three 272-megawatt (MW) Mitsubishi (Tokyo, Japan) M501GAC combustion turbine generators, with supplementary duct-fired heat recovery steam generators, and one 464-MW Mitsubishi TC4F steam turbine generator. Zachry Holdings Incorporated (San Antonio, Texas) served as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, and Burns & McDonnell Incorporated (Kansas City, Missouri) was the project engineering contractor.
