UNEP: Global Renewables Investments Rise 17% in 2014
JOHANNESBURG--April 3, 2015--Written by Richard Finlayson, Senior International Editor for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Global renewable energy investments grew 17% in 2014 from the previous year, reaching $270 billion, according to a newly released report by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). Investments in offshore wind projects alone accounted for $18.6 billion last year, a 148% increase from 2013, according to "Global Trends in Renewable Energy Investments."
