Fortum to Build Polish CHP Plant

GALWAY, IRELAND--April 14, 2015 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Finland's largest utility, Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V) (Espoo, Finland) plans to invest €200 million ($210.6 million) to build a new combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Zabrze, Poland.

The company has confirmed its intentions for the co-generation facility which will be located at the Zabrze and Bytom power plant, where it will replace two existing coal-fuelled units.
