Biden Administration Gives Green Light to New Jersey Offshore Windfarm
July 7, 2023--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Earlier this week, the Biden administration gave a green light to what is to date the largest U.S. offshore windfarm to receive such approval, the Ocean Wind 1 project off the coast of New Jersey. The project is the third offshore windfarm approved by the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).
The Ocean Wind 1 project is being developed by Danish renewable energy company Orsted (Fredericia). The facility will be built about 15 miles off the New Jersey coast.
