Dong Orders 924 MW of Siemens Offshore Turbines

GALWAY, IRELAND--April 25, 2013 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Danish energy company Dong Energy's (Fredericia, Denmark) and German engineering firm Siemens Wind Energy (NYSE:SI) (Munich, Germany) have inked one of the largest wind turbine deals in the world worth billions of euro.

Dong has announced plans to buy 154 offshore wind turbines rated at 6 megawatts (MW) with a combined generating capacity of 924 MW.
