Duke Energy Acquires Piedmont in $4.9 Billion Deal, Growing its Foothold in U.S. Pipelines
SUGAR LAND--October 4, 2016--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Duke Energy Corporation (NYSE:DUK) (Charlotte, North Carolina) completed its acquisition of Piedmont Natural Gas Company (NYSE:PNY) (Charlotte) on Monday, closing out a long-anticipated transaction that could change the face of the region's Oil & Gas Pipeline Industry.
