SUGAR LAND--July 13, 2018--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) forecasts that natural gas-fired power in the United States will account for 37% of power generation in June, July and August this year, rivalling the record set in 2016, when gas-fired power generation also was 37%. Coal-fired generation is expected to dip to 30% of the total generation, compared to 31% last summer and 33% in summer 2016.
