SUGAR LAND--April 24, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Over the past several years, multiple power producers have announced plans to move forward with construction of a plethora of coal-fired generating units. At the peak of activity, well over 200 new coal-fired generating units were announced. This count includes projects that were in the earliest stages to ones that could be considered in the advanced stages of development.
