SUGAR LAND--April 24, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Over the past several years, multiple power producers have announced plans to move forward with construction of a plethora of coal-fired generating units. At the peak of activity, well over 200 new coal-fired generating units were announced. This count includes projects that were in the earliest stages to ones that could be considered in the advanced stages of development. Since January of 2007 the landscape of this sector of the Power Industry has somewhat changed but, as some would say, the more things change the more they stay the same.
